- Toor Dal : 1 Cup
- Lemon : 1 (big sized)
- Green chillies : 4
- Cooking oil : 1.5 table spoon
- Mustard seeds : for Oggarne (Tadka)
- Jeera(Cumin seeds) : for Oggarne (Tadka)
- Turmeric powder : 1/4 table spoon
- Coriander leaves : 2 table spoon (chopped)
- Salt : for taste
- Red Chillies : 2
Step 1 : Take dal in a bowl , clean and rinse it a couple of times.
Step 2 : Add the rinsed dal into pressure cooker and add 2 glasses of water, chopped green chillies and turmeric to it.
Step 3 : Pressure cook it for 2 – 3 whistles for approximately 10 – 15 minutes (Until it gets a paste-like consistency)
Step 4: Now take the mixture in a heating pan, add salt and finely chopped coriander leaves. Cook for 2-3 min.
Step 5: Turn-off stove and add lemon juice and stir well.
In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and let mustard seeds crackle. Then add 2 red chillis, Jeera and Tadka is Ready! Pour it on Lemon Dal and Serve Hot!
Serving Tips: Serve with ghee and hot rice.
