Time to Prepare  : 25min | Serves : 4

Ingredients:

  1. Bhel (puffed rice) – 4 cups
  2. Onion – 4
  3. Tomato – 2
  4. Green Chillies – 4
  5. Bengal gram powder – 1cup
  6. Sugar – 1 table spoon
  7. Cooking Oil – 5 table spoon
  8. Salt – for taste
  9. Sesame seeds – for tadka
  10. Red chilli powder – 1/2 table spoon
  11. Plain sev – for garnish
  12. Coriander – 1/2 cup
  13. Lemon juice – for garnish

Preparation Method:

  1. Heat 4 table spoons of oil in a pan, add sesame seeds and let it crackle
  2. Then add chopped green chillies and onions and fry until it turns slightly brown
  3. Then add chopped tomatoes and stir for 5 – 7minutes. Add 2 table spoon of finely chopped coriander leaves and stir well. Turn off flame
  4. Take bengal gram powder in a bowl, add water to get a semi-liquid consistency(like bajji flour mix). Add 1 table spoon oil to the mixture and then add salt, sugar and red chilli powder and stir well
  5. Now add bhel into the cooked vegetable pan, add the bengal gram powder mixture, a pinch of red chilli powder and mix well until all the ingredients blend well

Take it in a serving dish, add a bit of chopped onions, coriander, lemon and sev for garnish! Eat and enjoy!

Crispy Coins

A perfect dish for a special evening, be it a birthday party or a get together. Pamper your taste buds with this healthy and yummy dish!

Time to Prepare : 30min | Serves : 10

Ingredients:

  1. Onion – 4
  2. Tomatoes – 3
  3. Coriander leaves
  4. Garam masala – 1 table spoon
  5. Cooking oil – 3 table spoon
  6. Bread – 10 slices
  7. Butter/Ghee – 1 table spoon
  8. Mayonnaise – for taste(optional)
  9.  Spring Onion
  10. Tamrind-Dates chutney (Sweet chutney)
  11. Sesame seeds – for tadka
  12. Salt – for taste
  13. Red chilli powder – 1 table spoon

Preparation method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add sesame seeds and let it crackle.
  2. Then add chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add chopped tomatoes, salt, chilli powder and garam masala and cook for 5 minutes
  4. Add chopped spring onions and coriander, close the lid of the pan. Cook for 2 min and turn off flame
  5. Toast bread slices slightly until they turn light brown by applying butter/Ghee on a pan
  6. Take each slice, use a sharp edged bowl to cut the slices into round shaped coins
  7. Take a round shaped slice, apply a layer of sweet chutney and then add the vegetable mixture prepared initially
  8. Preheat the airfyer for 5min at 200°C. Then place the coins in the airfryer and cook at 180°C for 5min.

PS : Step 8 can also be done by shallow-frying of bread slices on a pan using some butter/ghee

There you go! Add mayonnaise for enhanced taste and enjoy!!!

Sweet Corn Salsa

This healthy snack is a perfect substitute for Manchurian, Taste kuda Health kuda! ( kuda in kannada = ‘also’)

Time To Prepare  : 30Min | Serves : 3

Ingredients:

  1. Sweet Corn (American Corn) : 1 Cup (Boiled)
  2. Onion : 1 (big sized)
  3. Cooking oil – 2 table spoon
  4. Ginger – Garlic Paste : As per taste
  5. Green Chilli Paste- Gring 4 chillies
  6. Tomato Sauce – 3 table spoon
  7. Soya Sauce – 1.5 table spoon
  8. Red Chilli Sause – 1 table spoon
  9. Salt – for taste
  10. Coriander – for garnish

Preparation Method:

Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion. Stir until onion slightly changes to golden color ( for 2 – 3 min)
Step 2: Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli paste, stir for 30sec. Ensure the bottom of the pan does not burn
Step 3: Add boiled corn into the pan, then add Soya sauce, tomato sauce ,red chilli sauce and salt and toss it for 3- 4min

TaDa! Transfer the Corn Salsa into a dish, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve HOT!
